DAVID ANDREW CAMERON *
Oh, hello. Fancy meeting you here. Introduce myself? I shall try.
I'm David. David Cameron, to be formal. I grew up in Brooklyn, New York where things weren't always easy. I saw my fair share of fights and crime, but this only helped me realize my potential and find what I loved most - music. In elementary school, I wanted to be a musician. I tried everything my teacher had in her instrument collection - guitar, piano, drums, cello, everything. Sadly, however, I soon discovered that despite my love for music, I did not possess the talent. I mean, at all.
I had no skill when it came to actually making the music I loved. Giving up on his my of being a rockstar, I finished high school and went to business school so I could obtain my degree in marketing. But even that wasn't fulfilling enough. I dropped out about a year and a half into my studies, and decided to take an intensive journalism program instead. I've always loved writing, and traveling too. So it just seemed like the logical decision for my life. Four years later, I was a journalist. Well, that's what my little diploma and all my professors tried to tell me. Getting a job, however, wasn't so esy.
My younger brother Daniel is the one who introduced me to this tour. I managed a band his friend was in at the time, and that's when he informed me that this super giant, amazing, awesome tour was kicking off and needed a reporter. I applied. Somehow got the job. But... I'm forgetting a small... teensy... little detail. See, there's this girl. Always a girl behind every good story, right? Mine's no different. Emaroza, she was the love of my life. I have no reason to lie. She up and left me one day, without reason. I didn't know where she went or why, but when my brother was showing me the website for the tour he found, I saw her. No joke, she was there. In a band. It was so shocking to me, but I knew what had to be done. In fact, only thirty minutes later, I was packed and headed to meet with the producers of the tour. I wasn't even sure if I'd get the job at that point, but I was willing to lay it all out on the line at that point.
This wasn't about the job anymore, it was about finding Emaroza. I know, it sounds lame. But sometimes that's all a man can do - especially if a woman's involved. I am excited about the tour too though. I get to report to the major news outlets - that's pretty amazing. I'd be crazy not to be excited, and pretty proud too, I might add.
Let's see... more about me. I'm bad at talking about myself. Well... I'm a fun-loving guy who enjoys hanging out at clubs, meeting new people, golfing with my buddies. One of my favorite things is parties because I feels it's not only a great opportunity to meet influential (maybe even famous) people in the music business but it's also a great time to get some gossip and interviews for my columns.
Although I enjoy having fun, I also have a serious side. At times, my serious side is more overpowering than my fun side, but I work to keep it at a healthy balance. I am very dedicated to my job and will get frustrated with those around me are not as serious. I respect the bands very highly, but I have no problem telling them how I feel. In this respect, I can be a little demanding and strict. If a band member is caught doing drugs or drinking underage, I'll take matters into my own hands. I'm a bit of a narc. Proud of it, too.
Despite a strong serious side and an over-the-top fun side, I try to keep myself level at a laid-back, down-to-earth degree. I am fun to be around because of my dedication to music. Plus, I enjoy meeting new people and never miss an opportunity to chat about music. I am often seen at local venues chatting with bands. And I'll admit... I'm usually the first one in line at the merch table, hoping to get a chance to talk to the band afterward. Material, material, material!

i'm alex, i live in the central time zone... and i love johnny depp. a lot. below is an example of my work. it's live or die.Shopping, shopping, shopping. There were few things Abbey enjoyed more than shopping. She loved art, people, animals. But shopping – that always made her day. She was a funny creature of habit, though. When it came to the process of shopping, Abbey actually rarely ever bought anything. She looked at pretty much every item in every store, but bought only a few things. She was pretty frugal with her money. Which couldn’t be a bad thing when in college. Abbey just enjoyed looking at new stores. Especially the Disney Store. That one was her favorite. She could walk around the Disney Store for hours, picking up every Little Mermaid toy and studying it carefully. The immense amount of memories that such a place brought to her life was worth it for Abbey to waste several hours in the place. Even when alone, she could waltz around the mall and end up scouting for Disney gems without growing bored or lonely for a second. It was impossible to turn down a trip to such a place.
Which is why Abbey now found herself surrounded by children and loud mothers, shuffling around the many displays of TV and movie characters. When she’d woken up that morning, Abbey was painfully reminded by a note left by her brother that he was gone all day. Classes, probably. Since her day was completely free of both school and work, Abbey wasn’t entirely sure how to spend it. With no one around to entertain her, the girl was alone without any plans to speak of. Which meant shopping was definitely necessary. It didn’t take long for Abbey to prepare for the day, quickly throwing on some shorts and matching butterfly accessories. Even if she was only going out to a few stores with no real sense of a game plan, Abbey tried to look presentable. Her theory was you never know who you may run into. It had been her very own mother who’d taught her that first impressions were the most important, and that you never know when Mr. Prince Charming will be hanging around the bend. Even with that factual information behind her, however, Abbey still didn’t take the time to straighten her hair. The strands were a mess, curling around in various directions and intertwining in a mass of brown. Definitely too much of a hassle to straighten today.
Thankfully for her, the store was within walking distance. That was something Abbey liked about this country. Where she was from in America, you couldn’t walk from one place to another unless you were planning on a five-mile hike from your cabin to your neighbor’s ranch. Here, she could make it anywhere in a matter of minutes. All while avoiding London traffic. It was only a matter of time before Abbey found herself waltzing through the store and stopping in search of no section in particular but definitely determined to find the Toy Story collections before leaving. She may have been twenty years old, but she was still a kid at heart. Movies like Toy Story didn’t have an age attached, in Abbey’s opinion. And her room needed some new decorations, after all. Some posters, perhaps. Or those small little figurines. An Aladdin snowglobe. Or a Cinderella teacup set! Abbey could spend hours in here, if she could ever pull herself away from the stuffed animal section. She loved the stuffed animals here. They were all packed into a big tub in the middle of the store, which was built into the wall for even more plush storage. Every time Abbey looked at the huge swimming pool of stuffed animals, she wanted to jump in. She could just imagine herself submerged in the softness, poking her head out and making friends with all the Seven Dwarves toys. What a life! "Well hello there Pooh Bear,” she spoke aloud, reaching in and picking out a particularly plush Winnie The Pooh stuffed animal. "I’d like to jump in there with you. But if I get in, do you think I’d be able to get out?” Yes, Abbey was talking to inanimate objects in the middle of the Disney Store. Yes she was a college sophomore. And yes – surprisingly – she did have friends. If she was lucky, one of those friends would show up right now and keep her company so her hyperactive, over-excited brain wouldn’t have to converse with children’s toys all day.
