WILL SOMEONE GET ME OFF OF THIS RIDE, ( i'm sick of tonight. ) g
avin's footsteps were easily swallowed by the multitude of other people's own footsteps. with his camera around his neck, he awkwardly held it in his hands. he wasn't sure, but he wanted to try something new. he pretty much was just aimlessly wandering around. he also wasn't sure where the rest of the band were either. the could band was at their bus, or at some stage, but he knew he was going to probably be late to whatever they were doing. he generally was, but oh well. he took his time to get things right in photographic the band and they always succeeded. once he got there. frowning slightly, he paused in his aimless walking. digging in his pockets and checking the jacket he was wearing, gin made sure there weren't any sticky notes attached to his person. shaking his head, he sighed. "good, so there aren't any important-important events going on at this instant," he murmured quietly, a relieved smile on his lips. that meant he could snap a few pictures of teens partying at the concert, show off his awesome vip access card and make people jealous. resuming his slow, leisurely pace gin wondered what the other bands were doing. where they were and such. maybe they were off tuning their instruments or getting booze, drugs, or fucking some groupie or something like that. the rock 'n roll lifestyle and all that shit. lifting his camera to his eye, gin peered through the fisheye lens he currently had placed on the camera. his finger found its way onto the button that snapped the picture and slowly applied pressure. slowing his walk and avoiding the crowds of people walking past him as well, he focused his attention on the sight of a crowd of teenagers milling around one of the many merch tents near by. finally, after what seemed like forever, gin eventually pressed the button. the satisfying click of the camera made him quirk his lips upward slightly. that was always fun, hearing his picture being captured in the moments that were happening. he removed his camera from in front of his face, just as he tripped, probably over nothing. stumbling, gin gripped his camera tight as he tried to right himself. into another person. "fuck!" a garbled curse exited gin's mouth as he backed up a few steps to see if he hurt the person he ran into. 'you're such a klutz gin.' his mind scolded.

the boys had played their set a couple of hours ago now, leaving asher to mill around the site without having to worry about getting back in time to do their hair and make-up. she loved it when they were on early, it meant she got the day to do whatever the hell she wanted, and that usually involved alcohol. that was certainly the case today as she roamed the merch tables, beer in hand hoping to find one of her friends somewhere amidst the crowd of people. asher loved the fact that her job allowed her to mingle with the bands and go about the site without getting hounded every five seconds for being famous. the people in the bands generally didn't get that luxury, the second they stepped out of vip rabid fans would descend and they would be stuck being chased or signing autographs for the rest of the day. sometimes she though being famous probably sucked a hell of a lot more than people let on, but then again she had definately seen the upside of it. the boys tended to take full advantage of the free beer, the available drugs and the groupies throwing themselves at them, that side of life definately had more appeal to it than the being stalked by scary chicks with signs. <p> it was when she was standing lost in her own thoughts that she felt a force crash into her knocking the drink in her hand all over her and making her stumbled a bit. normally she would have been mad, she had of a temper after all, but after a few seconds she noticed the person who had hit in too her and realised it must of been an accident. taking a deep breath in order to help her anger levels return to her usual mellow state she smiled at the boy and shook her head. "i think it's fair to say you owe me a beer," she told him before looking down at her now wet t-shirt "and maybe a clean top as well." she was joking about the top, but she kind of did expect a beer for the fact she'd just lost an almost full one. the top would dry, but without alcohol she would be dangerously close to becoming more sober, something she was not the biggest fan of.

in cradled his camera in his hands for a moment, looking it over for any damage at all. though, he really should've been paying attention to the person he so rudely bumped into. he had plenty of other cameras to use, but he only had one fisheye lens. so that was probably a reason gin wasn't paying much attention the girl he ran into. hearing her voice, gin looked up with a look that almost resembled a deer in the headlights. fuck, did he make her spill her drink? damn. but hey, he didn't need to worry about that. that was what fake id's were for, yeah? "sorry 'bout that.." gin spoke sheepishly as he apologized. he should've been careful where he was walking. oh well, what was done was done. no use in crying over spilled milk. well. this was beer he spilled, so he'd guess it was pretty important? it didn't make sense, but it must've since the girl was speaking again. a new shirt? blinking blankly at her, gavin didn't think she was serious. the thing could just like, air dry or something. right? and if she didn't like that, she could've always just taken her top off and chill like that. most of the girls here did it anyway and they were well received. sometimes. scratching the back of his head, gavin was still somewhat embarrassed he ran into her like that. maybe he should take lessons in being more observant. it might help him out in the end or something. pah, yeah right. "i'm gin. gavin really, but i prefer gin. i'm sorry i spilled your beer and i'll totally buy you a new one, promise," talking quickly, gin wondered if she was a concert goer or a band member or maybe part of one of the band's crews. he hoped she wasn't a band member, he'd feel pretty terrible about messing up her beer and shirt. but he didn't recognize her from anywhere, so maybe she wasn't. or he just lived under a rock and didn't know much about the other bands here. the only band he had a lot of contact and knowledge of was the one he took pictures of, steroid runaway. he should probably learn more. later though. right now he was a little busy.

seeing the boys reaction she was quite glad she hadn't blown up on him, she was pretty confident he wouldn't have been able to take it. if she was angry she was kind of scary and this guy didn't seem to be the sort she was used too. a lot of the time she had to watch her mouth, as well as her temper, when around people who weren't in the band. sure they could all take her bad attitude and her dirty mind but not everyone could and although she wasn't all that bothered about upsetting people she didn't want to go around pissing everyone off. it caused too much drama and she wasn't the drama sort of girl. if she had an arguement with someone she liked to end it there and then and get on with things, not go through all the endless bitching people always tried.
"it's cool kid, you may as well get one with me," she replied trying her very brightest smile. if any of her usual crowd had seen her grinning like that they'd probably be wheeling her off too a secure unit convinced she had gone insane. "gin it is then. i'm asher, i work with back to the dead. how about you? her eyes flitted to the camera, either he was a photographer or just a fan who could afford a decent piece of technology. although she tended to try her best to mingle with the other bands and their crews she was the sort of girl who found people she liked and spent as much time as possible with them. she was confident enough, she just didn't see the point in trying to know every single person who came her way. close friendships were much, much better than a lot of pointless and random ones. sure she'd sit and get drunk with you if you were there, but she didn't seek out situations like that all that much. "don't worry about the top by the way, it's probably covered in all sorts of drink by now anyway," she quickly reassured him, not being the sort of girl to care all that much about a t-shirt.

eturning the smile the girl gave him, gin mentally sighed in relief. good, she wasn't totally pissed at him for fucking her beer up. he probably would've freaked out if she started to get upset. he wondered if she would blow him off now. she had a free beer coming her way, so why not just get the beer from him and leave? that's negative thinking gin, his mind scolded. hearing her confirm his nickname, he blinked a few times at her introduction. asher. back to the dead. oh! her name and what band she was working with. neat-o. he had heard rumors about them being the ones who partied the hardest and always seemed to get beat up. a lot. he wasn't sure, rumors weren't his thing. he disliked the whole, 'start shit' shit. it didn't make sense. at all. "photographer for steroid runaway. pleasure to bump into you," following where her eyes where roaming toward his camera, gin grinned. haha, he wondered what she was thinking when she saw the camera. he liked wearing it around, even if he wasn't going to take pictures. it was a habit by now, and it was the second thing he'd put on after his shirt. then the rest of his clothes. that was a weird thought. well, maybe not since he was thinking about his camera. he did get stares sometimes when he carted his camera equipment all over the venues and shit. he liked it. he could take pictures of whatever he wanted and still have fun. gin was capturing the moment. looking at asher as she reassured him about her shirt. wait. what? oh yeah! he was mentally freaking about her shirt. good thing he didn't blurt his thoughts out loud. that probably would've been a little bit embarrassing. chuckling slightly, gin shrugged. "haha, good. and why not, i don't have to be anywhere right now. ooh, wait--" pausing to check his pockets and the normal spots he would keep sticky notes. "yeah. as i was saying.. i don't have anywhere important to be. everyone's prolly off being rock stars," gin spoke, his lips quirking upward into a smile. tag: asher. words: #374. lyrics: sick of tonight, weatherstar. notes: wat. my muse is like, dead wtf. nodding as he told her he was a photographer, well that explained the pretty fancy looking camera. and the fact he hadn't gotten all excitable when she mentioned she worked for a band and tried to plead with her to let her meet them. that was the one thing that annoyed her about fans, as much as some of them were cool and amazing, there were the ones who sought out people like her and befriended them just to get a chance to meet the bands. that's why she liked the fact there were so many other people for her to hang out with because she really hated worrying if someone was just her friend because of her connections. "brilliant, let's go be rockstars too," she joked when he agreed to have a drink with her. as far as she was concerned gin could be the coolest person on this whole damn tour and the only reason she didn't know that was because she'd only just met him. "i'm finished for the day so you might have to put up with me getting rather drunk," she warned him with a wink. asher lived the rock star life even if she didn't have the status of one. alcohol, sex and drugs were all just part of the package in what she considered was a relatively charmed life. sure as far as 'society' was concerned she was pretty much a waster but she didn't care, she was living her dream. with a job that she loved and the ultimate social life there wasn't much more she could ask for and if being a waster made her happy she didn't see what was wrong with that. it was just an alternative lifestyle choice in her mind, and she was going to make the most of what could be a once in a lifetime opportunity whilst she could. it's not like every day she would get to be on a tour like this so she was trying her best to experience everything she could, even if most of the tour experience involved a lot of alcohol and drugs. "have steroid runway been on yet or do you have to get back to work soon?" she questioned him as she started to walk slowly towards the stand where they were selling beer. undoubtedly the booze here was over priced and kind of flat and warm but it was better than nothing and they'd almost run out of booze back on the bus and would need to send someone to stock up soon.

ingering the shutter button on his camera, gin wondered what she worked with. was she someone in the band, or like a crew member? whatever she did, gin was impressed. he had heard rumors about the band from the start of the tour. they were saying something about.. back to the dead being the killers? was that the rumor? furrowing his eyebrows in thought, gin pouted as he tried to remember. after a few seconds of thought, gin gave up. ah fuck it. he'd eventually remember later or something. it didn't matter anyway, he wasn't the one who'd obsessively listen to rumors anyway. they were entertaining, but pointless. as asher spoke up, gin grinned. now she was fucking talking! nodding excitedly, gin grabbed asher's hand and started to walk. sure, it might've been a bit rude to do that and an invasion of personal bubbles, but fuck it. gin wasn't the one to listen to them. getting rather drunk sounded nice. but he probably shouldn't. he could fuck up his camera if he got totally plastered. nibbling on his lip, gin shrugged. oh well, he could have a couple of beers. it wouldn't hurt since they weren't all that potent, right? right. hearing asher speak up and warn him about being drunk, gin looked over at her with a lopsided smile. "you're done with your job, you get to relax! i think i've heard back to the dead get pretty.. violent during their shows or something. they're a handful, i've heard too. i haven't actually seen them play before though.." at first, he was totally going to reply to asher, but his train of thought had other plans. as he mumbled the latter of his small speech, asher had asked another question. something about his band? "huh? oh, steroid runaway! i'm pretty much done for the day, unless they suddenly have the urge to go take pictures for some reason. or they added a set i didn't know about. but i'm pretty sure i'm done. i would've found a sticky note with info on it sooner or later. i was just roaming around and taking pictures for the hell of it. and somewhat for my own personal blog and stuff. memories and junk i guess?" rambling, gin nodded his head at that before smiling brightly. yep. he was pretty much on an energy high now and he was sure booze wasn't going to help at all. oh well, he was gonna have fun with asher and that was that.
